Online applications are invited for the post of Short Service Commission Medical Officer in Armed Forces Medical Services from Indian citizens both male and female, who have passed their final MBBS (Part-l & 11) examination in not more than two attempts and are completing have completed their internship on or before 31 Aug 2022.

SHORT SERVICE COMMISSIONED (SSC) MEDICAL OFFICER

Qualification: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
The applicant must possess medical qualification included in the National Medical Council Act, 2019. The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/NMC/MCI. Post graduate degree holders recognized by State Medical Council /NBE/NMC can also apply. Only those candidates who have completed/ are completing their internship on or before 31 Aug 2022 can apply.

Selection Process

INTERVIEW: Eligible candidates will be called for Interview by Board Officers in the month of Sep 2022 at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt to assess their suitability and merit for grant of Short Service Commission in the Armed Forces Medical Services.

PHYSICAL&MEDICAL STANDARD: Every candidate on being qualified in interview will have to attend the Special Medical Examination Board (SMB) constituted by DGAFMS for examining his or her medical fitness as per laid down standards.

Exam Scheme

There will be no exam for candidates for selection but Interview will be conducted by Board Officers. The candidates cleared in interview will have to attend the Special Medical Examination Board (SMB) for examining his or her medical fitness as per laid down standards.

Merit list will be published bases on Interview and Medical Examination.
