Vacancy Details SI of Police (Unarmed) – 753 Lady SI of Police (Unarmed) – 150 SI of Police (Armed) – 185 Constable – 7440 Lady Constable – 1192 Age Limit For SI of Police: The applicant must not be below 20 years and not more than 27 years as on 01.01.2021 is Mandatory. For Constable: The applicant must not be less than 18 years old and must not be more than 27 (twenty seven) years old as on 01/01/2021 is Mandatory. Education Qualification For SI of Police: The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent is Necessary. For Constable: The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent is Necessary. Other Skills The applicant must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language. However, this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.
