The Staff Selection Commission has published the SSC CGL 2022 online applications from graduate candidates. Every year SSC CGL Exam, a national-level exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of eligible candidates for Group B and Group C posts under various Ministries of Government and multiple Government Organizations.

Selection Process

Based on the marks scored in Tier-I i.e. Computer Based Examination, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II Examination.

Tier-II Examination will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.

Merit list will be prepared on the basis of overall performance of candidates in Tier-II Examination only.

The final allotment of posts are made on the basis of merit-cum-preferences of Posts/ Departments given by the candidates.

Exam Scheme

The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers as indicated below:

  • Tier-I
  • Tier-II

Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension

Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts.

Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts.

Paper-III will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-III i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.

There will be negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.
